Junior Quality Assurance Tester

Technical | Project Based | Hybrid | Makati

Primarily responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing. The main responsibilities involve test execution, finding and reporting issues and defects and reporting. The right candidate is knowledgeable, detail oriented and able to work with developers to drive the software quality up to expected standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Review and analyze system specifications and/or user stories.
  • Create detailed and comprehensive test cases from defined requirements in Functional Documentation or through User Stories.
  • Prepare test data, execute test cases through manual or automated testing, and analyze results.
  • Create logs, document expected vs actual results and provide Proof of Test to assist the Development Team in investigating and resolving reported issues and defects.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development cycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 years proven experience as a software tester or similar role
  • Knowledge of project implementation methodologies such as iterative, agile and waterfall
  • Working knowledge of test management software such as JIRA, Zephyr and Confluence
  • Experience using version control software such as GITHUB
  • Knowledge of programming languages (JAVA, SQL, iOS/Android) is an advantage
  • Okay to accept project-based employment
  • Amenable to work twice a week onsite in Makati
