Manila, 6 March 2014 – Fortune General Insurance Corporation, one the leading non-life insurance companies in the country, continued its partnership with Computer Professionals, Inc. as it upgrades its existing GENIISYS insurance system to the web version.

Having been a long time GENIISYS user, Fortune Gen will now be able to utilize the new features of GENIISYS web such as full-branch connectivity, quick issuance, Business Intelligence and the use of electronic documents, which shall enable Fortune Gen to optimize business transactions and operation and improve customer service on all their branches nationwide.

The project started with a kick-off meeting with the participation of the staff and key users of Fortune Gen, the CPI Management and GENIISYS Team. During the meeting, the group discussed the project implementation plan, roles and responsibilities of each team, target schedules and communication plan.

Fortune Gen President and COO Michael Rellosa shares why they continued using GENIISYS. “We wanted to be able to have the cutting edge tools to be able to serve the customer better. Especially now, technology is developing by leaps and bounds. So we have to keep up. There’s a lot of technology out there that we can use to be able to differentiate ourselves or our service to our clients so we thought that going GENIISYS web would be a first step in going that direction.”

“We’ve been with CPI for years… So we work very well with CPI. And we know that they service us well… we are happy with them and we are looking for a lot of collaboration going forward,” he said.

CPI President Elizabeth Ventura looks forward to continue working with Fortune Gen. “The Fortune Group has been a loyal and valued client of CPI for almost 20 years. We are very happy that their trust and confidence in CPI continues throughout these many years. This trust is built upon long-standing relationships between our two organizations that go beyond just doing business. There is a common understanding of what needs to get done. CPI delivers the solution and adds value, going the extra mile when needed. Our friends in the Fortune Group in turn have been loyal endorsers, generously sharing their experiences in using our solutions and availing of our services. We are happy to have Fortune General decide to upgrade to the web version of GENIISYS. We look forward to many more years of serving them and enabling them to, in turn, provide better products and services to their clients and intermediaries.”

Fortune General Insurance Corporation traces its pedigree back to June 13, 1955, the establishment of Mutual Security Insurance Corporation which later evolved to Washington Insurance Corporation. In November 1986, the ALC Group of Companies headed by its Chairman, H.E Ambassador Antonio Cabangon-Chua, acquired the majority share of the Corporation and changed its name to Fortune Guarantee & Insurance Corporation. In 2003, Citystate Insurance Corporation merged with Fortune Guarantee & Insurance Corporation. Fortune Guarantee & Insurance Corporation re-branded itself in late 2004, into Fortune General Insurance Corporation, and in the process adopted a new logo in line with the coalition of Fortune Life Insurance Co., Inc., Fortune Medicare Inc., and Fortune General Ins. Corp. into the Fortune Insurance Group. The coalition of the three leaders in their respective fields of specialty was conceptualized with the benefit of their clients in mind. Clients may now obtain their various insurance and healthcare needs from one group and rely on their individual expertise, combined strength and a common culture of service. “We continue to stand by our commitment to continue being the insurer of choice.”
